The BBC reality talent show So You Think You Can Dance will move to an earlier slot on BBC 1 from next week after ratings for the live show continue to fall. Last weekend’s third live instalment attracted a disappointing 3 million viewers.
The dancing show hosted by Cat Deeley, will be screened at around 5.30pm, with the results being broadcast after Doctor Who.
A BBC source told The Mirror: “It is struggling to pull in three million which is a disaster for a Saturday night.”
Despite huge success in the states, the format that includes a judging panel with Nigel Lythgoe and Arlene Phillips, has failed to take off here in the UK and it is expected that the show will be axed once the current series is over.
