This year’s Go To Dance semi finals kicked off on Sunday night with a bang. Cerebro opened the show with an absolutely brilliant street dance routine, Chris and Wes provided the fun factor while Alleviate simply amazed with a stunning contemporary dance routine.

At the end of the night, last year’s Got To Dance winner Akai delivered a performance that showed us just why Ashley Banjo thinks he his the best child dancer in the country at the moment.

The Public Vote

After the battle with all seven contestants, the public decide that the two acts that should go through to the live finals would be, Alleviate and Chris & Wes.

We believe the public got it right but on the night they were at least one other act we wish could also have gone through and they were Cerebro. They delivered an excellent routine that was very entertaining and compelling to watch. We can now only hope that they make a return at some point in the future.

As for the other four acts, they all did a good job on the night. However, in most cases we agree with the judges comments where they identified room for improvements. Hopefully some of these acts will also return to the show in the future.
