Go To Dance 2011: Street Dance Duo Chris and Wes Sailed Through to the Got To Dance Final

Street Dance Duo Chris and Wes from London delivered an all round entertaining performance on Sunday night’s live Got To Dance Semi final that secured enough public votes to see them through to the live final.

 Chris and Wes

Their routine was well Chorography, full of fun and made us laugh right the way though and even more, it was packed with some very cool and slick dance moves. The blend of music – that included Peter Andra’s Mysterious Girl and Basement Jaxx Red Alert – was spot on. The way they tried to tell a story with the invisible paint can worked a treat and for us they certainly deserved to be in the final. It was – as Chris promised Kimberley in the auditions – a show stopping performance.

This is what the judges had to say about their routine:

Ashley: “Chris and Wes, guys, like I said at the top of the show, we are down to the last 28. Everybody here has got talent, everybody here is good. You need to stand out for the crowed; you need to bring originality and creativity. That is exactly what you guys did. You brought originality, creativity, but most importantly alongside all the difficulty and creativity, you kept the personality of Chris and Wes. Guys, I applaud you, it was amazing, gold for me.”

Adam: “ I mean, yes you guys are constantly the unexpected. I am so glad you guys are here, I am so glad you guys are here. You guys do stuff that are difficult; it is filled with your personalities. I don’t know what else to say, you made me laugh, like genuinely, genuinely laugh. You made me gasp; you made me give you a gold star.”

Kimberley: “I told you I would be watching. And let me tell you, you guys absolutely smashed it! Oh my god! You were born to perform. You two are supposed to be on that stage, and the mysterious girls says – gold star.”
