John Whaite served up a delicious lemon and blackcurrant bakewell tart on today’s episode of Chopping Block.
The ingredients are: 300g sweet shortcrust pastry, 60g butter, 60g sugar, 1tbsp plain flour, 80g ground almonds, zest of 1 lemon, 1 egg, 1/2 tsp almond extract, blackcurrant jam, frangipane, water and icing.
