John Whaite served up tasty spiced vegetarian pasties on today’s episode of Lorraine.
Ingredients For the Pastry are: 250g plain flour, ¼ tsp table salt, 125g butter, cubed, or margarine, 1 large egg, 1-2 tsp cold water (if required) and 1 egg, beaten, to glaze.
For the Filling: 500g spinach, 200g coarsely grated sweet potato, 1 egg, 50g pine nuts, 75g feta cheese, crumbled, 2 tsp ground coriander, 1 tsp ground cumin, 1 tsp ground allspice, Salt and pepper and Zest of 1 lemon.
