27 year old Turbo (aka Issac Batiste) is a break dancer that amazed the judges with his unique style of hip hop and popping new style dance.

Turbo has been dancing since he was 4 years old and in the past 9 years have been teaching children to dance. A lot of his time is spent running dance workshops for youths in detention centers that have been causing a lot of trouble on the streets.

One of the reasons Turbo gave for entering Got To Dance Is that he wanted to inspire other young dancers to succeed.

On stage his free style dance routine impressed the judges. He even used his tongue in a part of his routine to much effect (not for us though – we are not so keen on tongues in dance). However, he has got to be applauded for thinking outside the box. He sailed onto the judge’s shortlist with three gold stars.

The comment from the judges we loved most was from Ashley:  “What he does, he has got down to an art. Once he’s popped, it’s end off.”  Not quite sure how that works but check out his performance below:
