Dean Edwards served up a tasty cheesy leek tart to celebrate St David’s Day, the Patron saint of Wales on today’s episode of Lorraine.
The ingredients are: 200g smoked pancetta lardons, 1 onion, finely diced, 2 cloves garlic, crushed, 2 leeks approximately (500g), washed and shredded, 5-6 sheets filo pastry, Oil, for brushing, 30g unsalted butter, melted, 4 eggs, beaten, 150ml double cream, Salt and pepper, 150g Caerphilly or strong Cheddar cheese, grated and 2-3 sprigs fresh thyme leaves, picked.
