Jamie Oliver served up a tasty Nepalese Gurkha chicken curry on Jamie and Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast.
Jamie says: “I’ve swapped the usual cream for yoghurt in this Nepalese chicken curry, so it’s fresher, healthier, cheaper and even tastier than your usual Friday night Indian takeaway.”
The ingredients are: 8 large free-range skinless chicken thighs, bone in, 1 large onion, 3 potatoes, 4 large ripe tomatoes, ½ a bunch of fresh coriander, vegetable oil, 1 stick of cinnamon, 4 cloves, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, 3 fresh bay leaves, 1 teaspoon ground turmeric, 1 tablespoon ground coriander and 1 fresh red chilli , optional.
For the Marinade: 5cm piece of ginger, 1 bulb of garlic, 1 teaspoon fennel seeds, 5 cardamom pods, 1 teaspoon hot chilli powder, 250 ml fat-free natural yoghurt , plus extra to serve and 1 lemon.
