Simon’s visit to his mother’s former home brought a moving account of his return on a stretcher for a long convalescence following his Falklands injuries. As he and chef Brian Turner travel back in time, Simon expresses warmly the debt of gratitude he feels to the villagers who supported him and his family through those difficult months.
