Holly Bell served up sweet and sour pork with Ribbon Noodles for a tasty Monday night meal for her ‘5-a-day in a DIY takeaway’ on This Morning.
The ingredients are : 700g pork tenderloin, diced into 2cm pieces, 3 tbsp malt vinegar, 1 tsp salt, 2 tbsp vegetable oil, 1 tbsp light soy sauce, 1 tbsp cornflour, 3 tbsp tomato ketchup, 2 tbsp sugar, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 500g fresh pineapple cut into 2cm chunks, 80mls pineapple juice, 3 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed, 2 medium red onions, peeled and thinly sliced and 3 red peppers, deseeded and chopped into 2cm pieces.
For the noodles: 200g egg noodles, 4 carrots, peeled, topped and tailed, 2 courgettes, ½ cucumber, cut in half lengthways and deseeded, 2 tbsp vegetable oil, 1 thumb sized piece of ginger, peeled and finely chopped, 1 clove of garlic, peeled and crushed, 1 red chilli, seeds removed and finely chopped, 1 tbsp light soy sauce and 1 tbsp sesame oil.
