The X Factor 2010: Week 8 X Factor Song Choices for Rock Week Theme

Logo

The X Factor has challenged the contestants this week with rock songs. It will be interesting to see if any of the judges break the rules and give their act a pop song instead. But we can be sure if Simon bend the rules even slightly, judge Louis Walsh will reach for his rule book on the night.

Rock week is perhaps the biggest test yet for this group of contestants because none of them come across as having much of a rock edge. Perhaps Matt – but with his love for girls songs it would be interesting to see if Dannii will find the rock chic in him and bring it out.

However, with each act performing 2 songs (Wagner might do more), they get a second chance to impress if they make a mess of the first. We are almost certain someone will make a big mess of it all this week.

Anyway, we will build up the list of songs below that the acts will be performing on Saturday as we receive them.

Cher Lloyd
Song 1: Walk This Way by Aerosmith.
Song 2: Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne.

Katie Waissel
Song 1: Sex On Fire by Kings of Leon.
Song 2: Everybody Hurts by REM.

Song 2: Brass in Pocket by The Pretenders.
