Dean Edwards apple crumble cheesecake recipe on Lorraine

Dean Edwards makes a delicious apple crumble cheesecake for Mothers Day on Lorraine.

Dean’s dessert is inspired by his own mum’s apple crumble, their love of cheesecake.

The ingredients for the biscuit crumb: 250g ginger nut biscuits and 70g unsalted butter melted.

For the apple filling: 15g unsalted butter, 300g bramley apples, peeled and cubed, 200g braeburn apples, peeled and cubed, 30g caster sugar and ½ tsp ground cinnamon.

For the cheesecake filling: 400g cream cheese, 100ml soured cream, 120g caster sugar and 4 medium eggs.

For the crumble topping: 100g unsalted butter softened, 100g plain flour, 100g crushed almonds and 90g golden caster sugar.
