Feasters diet plan recipes on What’s The Right Diet for You?

Feasters diet plan consists of high protein and low GI diet according to Dr Chris Van Tulleken and Nutrition Scientist Susan Jebb on What’s The Right Diet for You?

According to Dr. Chris. feasters are people who can’t stop eating at a single sitting because they don’t secrete enough of a hormone from their gut to tell their brain that they are full when they are eating a meal.

Because feasters take longer to realise they are full, a high-protein, low-GI diet has the best chance of keeping you full for longer. For this reason feasters should have a diet that is essentially really healthy, quite high in protein and things that have bulk that will bust your gut hormones singles and make you feel a bit fuller. The diet must also be relatively low in sugars and refined food.

A typical meal will have many more green leafy veg, more protein, relatively little fat and relatively little easily-digestible carbs. For desserts and snacks the feasters should stick to fruit.

Susan Jebb says: “Replace high-GI foods like white pasta, white bread and cakes, with low-GI alternatives like wholewheat pasta, lentils, brown rice and rye bread.”
