Tom Kerridge serves up sausage and beans casserole with pesto topping in quick time on Food and Drink.
Tom says: “This comforting casserole is ready in no time, and the crusty topping and zingy pesto add gourmet pizzazz.”
The ingredients for the casserole are: 3-4 tbsp vegetable oil, 150g streaky bacon, roughly chopped, 8 good-quality Lincolnshire or Cumberland sausages, 1 onion, chopped, 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped, 1 carrot, chopped, 1 celery stalk, trimmed, diced, 2 x 400g tins butter beans, drained, 100ml white wine vinegar, 50g caster sugar, 100ml dry white wine, 400ml hot chicken stock and 2 bay leaves.
