Lisa Faulkner teach novice cook Leon from South London how to make ginger puddings with Cardamom Crème Anglaise on Kitchen Superheroes.
Leon is frustrated by the fact he is the only one in his family who can’t cook. So under the guidance of chef Lisa Faulkner, Leon makes this tasty dessert served as part of a two course meal to surprise his family and future wife Louise.
The ingredients for the dessert includes: 6 pieces stem ginger , 1 inch of fresh ginger, 1/4 tsp ground ginger , 1 tsp all spice, 175g self-raising flour , baking powder, bicarbonate of soda, 2 eggs, 75g butter , 100g Muscavado sugar, 2 tbsp black treacle and some warm water.
