John Whaite makes honeycomb and apple cobbler for a tasty autumn treat on Lorraine.
John says: “This version, flavoured with honeycomb and cinnamon is a pleasure to make, and the ultimate autumnal indulgence”
The ingredients are : 10 granny smith apples, peeled, cored and each sliced into 8, 150g caster sugar, 1 tsp ground cinnamon, 100g honeycomb, bashed into small nuggets and 60g butter.
For the cobbles: 500g plain flour, 20g baking powder, 80g caster sugar, 80g unsalted butter, 2 medium eggs, 250ml whole milk and 1 egg beaten, to glaze.
