JLS scooped two major honours at the MOBO awards this year which is a sign that they are as popular as ever.
They fought off the likes of Plan B, Tinie Tempah and Dizzee Rascal to win Best UK Act and Best Album for their debut offering “JLS”. Last year these former X Factor contestants scooped the Best Newcomer MOBO award and now they have a small collection on their hands.
JLS were not the only big winner on the night, Tinie Tempah who has had a phenomenal year with two number one singles and a number one album won Best Newcomer and Best Video for his track “Frisky” featuring Labrinth.
JLS also performed on the night delivering a show stopping performance with surprise guest Travie McCoy and Tinchy Stryder.
Other winners included Plan B for Best R&B, Best International artist went to Eminem and Best Song went to N Dubz for “ Playing With Fire Feat. Mr Hudson”.
This year the Lifetime Achievement award went to Billy Ocean.
