Amateur baker Samantha Smith took on resident baker Edd Kimber on The Alan Titchmarsh Show Gig Bake showdown.

Each week Alan invites an amateur baker to present a bake to rival that of resident baker Edd Kimber. The public then vote for the best cake without knowing who baked what.

Cake (A) this week is a toffee fudge buttercream Delight while cake (B) is a mint white chocolate buttercream cake.

The theme for the cakes was ‘under the sea’.

After the public vote it was cake A, baked by Samantha, that was chosen as this week’s winner.
