Brian Turner found the perfect recipe using cheese produce at the Goodwood estates in West Sussex, Goodwood tart.
The Goodwood Estate is in the heart of West Sussex and is home to the world famous Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival and Glorious Goodwood.
Goodwood Farm is the largest lowland organic farm in the UK and the first 100% organically-fed dairy in the country.
Goodwood achieved full organic status in 2004, although the concept that the Estate could be farmed organically originated in the 1950s.
One very popular product that is produce on the farm is the delicious organic Levin Down cheese. The name for the cheese comes from the Downs in Charlton and its name means leave alone. Hence the Downs is unfarmed and known for its wild juniper berries.
This unique cheese is like a soft camembert style of cheese, matured over seven weeks, made with vegetarian rennet making it a perfect cheese for vegetarians.
Brian used the cheese as the key ingredient in his tart for his celebration cook paying tribute to the produce he discovered in West Sussex.
