Mark Greenwood make Buttered Brazils on Sweets Made Simple using Brazil nuts packed with good quantities of vitamins, anti-oxidants and minerals. The nuts, in-fact, have been staple source of energy of native Amazonians.
Mark says: “Sweet toffee makes a great alternative to the usual chocolate Brazils in this easy recipe. The toffee takes about an hour to set but they are best eaten a day or two after making when the toffee has softened a little.”
The ingredients for his Buttered Brazils are: groundnut oil, for greasing, 200g Brazil nuts, 225g soft light brown sugar, 75g/2½oz unsalted butter and ½ tsp cream of tartar.
