Jamie Oliver served up a delicious jam treacle tart with cornflake and custard on Jamie’s Feast For A Fiver.
The ingredients for the pastry are: 250g plain flour, plus extra for dusting, 50g icing sugar, 125g unsalted butter (cold) and 1 large free-range egg.
For the filling: 600g golden syrup, plus 1 tablespoon for drizzling, 75g cornflakes, 225g breadcrumbs, 125g raspberry jam, 1 large free-range egg and optional: 1 pinch of ground cinnamon.
For the custard: 1 pint of milk (570ml), 2 heaped tablespoons custard powder (35g), 2 heaped tablespoons caster sugar (35g) and 20ml dark rum.
