Mary Berry and Harry Aikines-Aryeetey served up delicious gingerbread snowmen on A Mary Berry Christmas.
The ingredients are: 115g unsalted butter, softened, 175g dark muscovado sugar, 4 tbsp golden syrup, 1 large free-range egg, beaten, 350g plain flour, plus extra for dusting, 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda, 2 tsp ground ginger, 1½ tsp mixed spice and ½ tsp ground cloves.
For the decorations: 200g icing sugar, black, green and red fondant icing, orange crisp-coated chocolates, such as Smarties and edible sliver balls.
