Mary Berry Christmas bubble and squeak with bacon and eggs recipe on A Mary Berry Christmas

Mary Berry served up a tasty Christmas bubble and squeak with bacon and eggs on A Mary Berry Christmas.

The ingredients are: 750g potatoes, peeled and cut into 3cm cubes (old potatoes are fine), large knob unsalted butter, 4 tbsp full-fat milk, 1 small pointed cabbage, core removed, very finely shredded, 2 onions, finely sliced, 1 tbsp chopped fresh thyme, 1 tbsp sunflower oil, 6 rashers back bacon, 6 large free-range eggs, salt and freshly ground black pepper and tomato ketchup, to serve (optional).
