Jamie Oliver served up a tasty potato and fennel gratin pie with a herb infused cheese and garlic sauce on Jamie’s Cook-Ahead Christmas.
The ingredient are: 800g Maris Piper potatoes, 1 onion, 1 bulb of fennel, 300ml whole milk, 200ml double cream, 2 cloves of garlic, 3 sprigs of fresh rosemary, 2 fresh bay leaves, 1 whole nutmeg, for grating and 75g cheese, such as Parmesan, Cheddar, Lincolnshire Poacher.
For the pastry: 500g plain flour, plus extra for dusting, 250g unsalted butter (cold), 50g walnuts and 3 large free-range eggs.
