John Torode and Lisa Faulkner served up tasty chicken vol au vent on John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen.
The ingredients are: 2 sheets of ready rolled puff pastry, cut into 4 vertically , Milk for brushing , 1 egg yolk, beaten, olive oil, 3 chicken breasts, sliced, 2 leeks, washed and finely sliced, A small bunch thyme sprigs, leaves picked, 2 sprigs of sage, leaves picked and roughly torn or chopped , 350ml chicken stock or bone broth, 30g butter, plus extra knob, 30g flour, 1 tbsp Dijon mustard and 100ml double cream.
