Mary Berry and Alex Jones served up a delicious Victoria sandwich with whipped cream and strawberry jam and Mary at 90: A Lifetime of Cooking.

The ingredients are: 225g baking spread, straight from the fridge, plus extra for greasing, 225g caster sugar, 4 eggs, 225g self-raising flour and 1 level tsp baking powder.

Filling and Topping: ½ × 370g jar strawberry jam, 300ml pouring double cream, whipped and A little caster sugar, to sprinkle.
