James Martin served up a delicious Blood Orange Marmalade Genoise Sponge Cake with Whipped Cream on James Martin’s Saturday Morning.

The ingredients for the sponge: 8 medium eggs, 250g caster sugar, 250g plain flour and 50g melted butter.

For the filling: 1 jar of blood orange marmalade, 400ml double cream, whipped, 2 blood oranges, zested and segmented, Icing sugar, to dust and Spun sugar (optional).
