Nisha Katona served up a tasty monsoon mushroom and chicken curry with easy naan bread on Nisha Katona’s Home Kitchen.
The ingredients are: 120 ml vegetable oil, 2 onions, roughly chopped, 2 cubes frozen crushed garlic or 6 garlic cloves, crushed, 2 cubes frozen crushed ginger or 2 thumb-sized pieces fresh root ginger, peeled and grated, 1 to 3 fat green chillies (depending on how hot you want the chilli to be), 3 skinless, boneless chicken breasts (approx. 600 g), chopped into 2cm cubes, 3 tbsp garam masala, 1 tbsp ground cumin, ¼ tsp chilli powder, 1 tsp ground turmeric, 400 g canned chopped tomatoes, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp brown sugar, 250 g chestnut mushrooms, thickly sliced and small handful fresh coriander, finely chopped, to garnish.
Homemade naan bread to serve.
