Gennaro Contaldo served up a tasty beef mince ragu with sweet soffritto and homemade pasta on Jamie’s £1 Wonders and Money Saving Meals.
The ingredients are: olive oil, ½ an onion, peeled and diced, ½ a carrot, peeled and diced, 2 sprigs of rosemary, leaves finely chopped, 500g higher-welfare minced beef and 1 tablespoon tomato puree.
For the pasta: 200g Tipo “00” flour, plus extra for dusting and 2 free-range eggs.
