Nisha Katona lazy tandoori roast lamb with festival rice recipe on this morning

Nisha Katona served up a tasty new year’s eve lazy tandoori roast lamb leg with festival rice on This Morning.

The ingredients are: 4 tbsp plain yoghurt, 90 ml veg oil, 1 tbsp salt, Juice of 1 lemon, 8 garlic cloves minced or 3 tbsp garlic puree from a tube, 4 tbsp garam masala, 2 tbsp smoked paprika powder, 4 tbsp sweet paprika powder, 1½ tbsp cumin powder, 2 tsp fenugreek powder, 2 kg leg of lamb, 8 peeled and halved shallots, 8 soft eating figs and 250ml water.

For the rice: 4 tbsp vegetable oil, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 3 tbsp pine nuts, 4 black cardamom pods, 1 cinnamon stick, 1 handful of dried cranberries- the snacking type, 500g white basmati rice, rinsed and drained, 1 litre boiling water, ½ tsp ground turmeric, 1 tbsp goji berries, to serve, 1 tbsp pomegranate seeds to serve, 50g sliced almonds, to serve and Coriander, chopped to serve.
