Michela Chiappa ultimate apple crumble with oats, amaretti biscuits and amaretto liqueur recipe

Michela Chiappa served up the ultimate apple crumble with oats, amaretti biscuits and amaretto liqueur on this morning.

The ingredients for the crumble topping: 100g whole natural almonds, roughly chopped , 100g light brown sugar, 100g porridge oats , 60g amaretti biscuits, crushed and 100g cold or frozen butter.

For the apple mix: 4-6 Bramley apples, peeled, cored and chopped into chunks , 30g brown sugar and 30ml amaretto liqueur (optional).

To serve: Custard or ice cream.
