Anthony Murphy served up a tasty classic cheeseburger with special sauce and cheese skirt on Saturday Kitchen.
The ingredients for the special sauce (makes 500ml) are: 230g mayonnaise, 80g American mustard, 80g store-bought tomato relish and 80ml/5 tbsp store-bought French dressing.
For the dill pickles: 2 tsp black peppercorns, 2 tbsp mustard seeds, 120ml white malt vinegar, 2 tbsp caster sugar, pinch chilli flakes, 2 tbsp salt, 250g baby cucumbers, thinly sliced, 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced and small bunch fresh dill, chopped.
To assemble: 2 slices bacon, 170g quality minced beef (preferably a mix of chuck and brisket), 2 brioche buns, sliced in half, 2 slices American cheese, 2 slices Swiss cheese, 1 red onion, sliced, ¼ iceberg lettuce, shredded and 100g grated mild cheddar.
