Rosemary Shrager beef stew with dumplings recipe on This Morning

Rosemary Shrager served up a tasty beef stew with herby dumplings on This Morning.

The ingredients are: 2 tbsp oil , 900g chuck steak, cut into large pieces, 1 onion, peeled and sliced, 2 tsp plain flour, 50ml red wine, 200g button mushrooms, 200g chopped tomatoes, 2 tsp brown sugar, 600ml good quality beef stock, 1 small handful of fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, bay leaf), Sea salt and freshly ground pepper.

For the dumplings: 400g self-raising flour, Pinch of salt, 200g vegetable suet, 1 tbsp dried mixed herb spices, 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped and 160ml water (enough to make a soft, but not sticky, dough).

To finish: 2 tbsp flat leaf parsley, chopped.
