Marcus Wareing served up delicious mince pies with almond frangipane on Marcus Wearing at Christmas.
The ingredients for the Pastry are: 75g of unsalted butter, softened, 40g of icing sugar, 1 egg, beaten and 150g of plain flour, plus extra for dusting.
For the Frangipane: 100g of caster sugar, 100g of butter, softened, 2 eggs, 100g of ground almonds and 50g of flour.
For the Fruit Mince Mix: 250g of mincemeat, 1 small Bramley apple, grated, 1 orange, zested, 25g of dried cranberries, finely chopped, 1 tsp black treacle, Pinch of ground cinnamon and Icing sugar, to serve.
