James Martin served up a delicious apple cake with apple juice icing and cream filling recipe on James Martin’s Saturday Morning.
The ingredients are: 250g butter, softened, 250g caster sugar, 5 eggs, 250g self raising flour, 1 apple, cored and grated and 1 apple, thinly sliced.
For the icing: 100ml apple juice and 400g icing sugar, sifted.
For the filling: 500ml double cream, whipped to soft peaks.
