Wynne Evans curry fish and chips with spicy mushy peas recipe

Masterchef winner Wynne Evans, served up tasty curry fish and chips with spicy mushy peas on This Morning.

The ingredients are: Oil, for deep-frying.

For the spicy dhal mushy peas: 300g yellow lentils , 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp ground cardamom , ½ tsp cloves, 1x 300g tin mushy peas, 2 tbsp hot madras powder, 200g coconut cream , Small handful of flaked almonds , 1 red chilli, finely chopped and 1 small bunch of mint, finely chopped.

For the spice-battered hake: 150g plain flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 3 green chillies, finely diced, Pinch of salt, Pinch of pepper, Handful of chopped fresh coriander, 1 tbsp Kashmiri masala powder, 1x 330ml bottle of beer, 2 pieces of hake (approximately 200g, skinned), 2 tbsp chaat masala powder, 1 tsp dried coriander and 1 tsp mango spice (Amchur powder).

For the triple cooked chips: 4 large potatoes, 2 tbsp madras powder, 2 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp chilli flakes, ½ tsp dried coriander and 1 handful of chopped fresh coriander.
