John Whaite served up a tasty cheese and bacon quiche with whipped cream on Steph’s Packed Lunch.
The ingredients for the pastry are: 120g plain flour , ½ tsp fine salt , 80g unsalted butter, cold and diced , 40g full-fat cream cheese and 1tsp lemon juice.
For the filling: 2 large free-range eggs, 200g whipping cream, ¼ tsp fine salt , ¼ tsp white pepper, ¼ tsp ground nutmeg, 4 spring onions, finely chopped , 4 cooked rashers smoked streaky bacon, roughly chopped and 100g Lancashire creamy cheese, coarsely grated.
