Gennaro Contaldo served up a delicious lemon tiramisu with homemade limoncello on Saturday Kitchen.
The ingredients for the limoncello are: 500ml vodka, 3 lemons, rinds only (white pith removed) and 300g caster sugar.
For the lemon syrup: 1 unwaxed lemon, juice and rind (white pith removed) and 50g caster sugar.
For the lemon tiramisu: 2 free range eggs, yolks and whites separated, 80g caster sugar, 250g mascarpone, 2 tbsp limoncello (see method above for homemade), 1 unwaxed lemon, zest only and 200g savoiardi biscuits.
