Si and Dave turn back the years in the kitchen as they serve up a seventies classic dish, chicken cordon bleu on their Best of British foods series.
The Bikes says: “Our chicken cordon bleu contains some sweet cranberry sauce as well as the classic cheese and ham combo. Fry first and then bake in the oven for a super-crisp coating.”
The ingredients are: 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts, 60g/2¼oz emmental cheese, 4 thin slices smoked ham (roughly 130g), 8 tsp cranberry sauce, 25g plain flour, 2 medium free-range eggs, 200g golden breadcrumbs, 5 tbsp sunflower oil and flaked sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.
