Nisha Katona served up sticky treacle ribs with tamarind and jacket potatoes on This Morning.
The ingredients are: 1.5kg pork spare ribs, 2 tsp salt, 3 star anise, 3 green cardamom pods, 1 tsp fennel seeds and 5 cloves garlic.
For the treacle sauce: 1tsp vegetable oil, ½ tsp black mustard seeds, 100g date molasses, 2 tbsp tamarind concentrate mixed with 100ml water, 75g tomato ketchup, 2 tbsp black treacle/molasses, 5cm piece of fresh root ginger, peeled and grated, 1 ½ tsp garam masala, 2 tsp ground cumin, 2 tbsp white wine vinegar and 1 ½ tsp salt.
For the spiced creme fraiche: Small tub of full-fat creme fraiche, A handful of finely chopped chives, Juice of half a lemon, Salt to taste, A teaspoon of chat masala and Jacket potatoes, to serve.
