Juliet Sear served up a easy to make cherry Bakewell cake with jam, ground/flaked almond and vanilla on This Morning.
The ingredients are: 175g unsalted butter, softened, plus extra for greasing, 125g self-raising flour, ¼ tsp baking powder, 150g golden caster sugar, 3 medium free range eggs, 1 tsp vanilla extract , 75g ground almonds , ½ tsp almond extract and 125g jam of your choice.
For the topping: 75g royal icing sugar, 2 tbsp toasted flaked almonds and Some glace cherries to decorate.
