Nisha Katona served up gunpowder fried chicken with tomato chutney and raita for a tasty Friday night fakeaway on This Morning.
The ingredients are: 2 large chicken breasts, chopped into 2cm pieces, 4 tsp crushed garlic, 1 tbsp ground cumin, 1 tbsp ground coriander, 1 tsp ground cinnamon, ½ tsp salt, Juice of ½ lemon, 1 egg, beaten, 380g gram flour/chickpea flour, Vegetable oil, for deep frying, 1 large red chilli, finely sliced, ½ red onion, finely sliced, 1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander, ¼ tsp salt and Generous sprinkle of chaat masala.
For the tomato chutney (2 cups of tomato ketchup and 1 cup chopped coriander leaves and 4 cloves of garlic, blitzed).
For the Raita: (1 cup yoghurt, 1/3 cup mint jelly, 1/2 tsp cumin powder and a pinch of salt, mixed together).
