Brian Turner Chicken and Sage Cobbler recipe on Ainsley’s Food We Love

Brian Turner cooked a classic Chicken and Sage Cobbler with mushrooms using his grandmother’s recipe on Ainsley’s Food We Love.

The ingredients are: 8 x chicken thights, bone in, 30g plain flour, 2 tbsp oil, 225g onions, finely chopped, 225g carrots, diced, 225g swede diced, 225g frozen peas, 225g chestnut cup mushrooms, 1tsp paprika, salt and pepper, 570ml chicken stock.
For the cobbler mix: 280g plain flour, 3tsp baking powder, 1tsp shredded fresh sage,85g unsalted butter, 2 tbsp grated Wensleydale cheese, 1 beaten egg, 2 tbsp milk and a little milk and 1 egg yolk for egg wash.
