John Torode and Lisa Faulkner serve up tasty Glamorgan sausages with a tomato and chilli jam for the festive season on John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen.
The ingredients are: 175g Caerphilly cheese or Cheshire cheese, grated, 225g fresh breadcrumbs, either white or brown, 1 small onion, grated, 1 tbsp parsley, finely chopped , 1 tbsp chives, finely chopped , 1 leek, chopped, cooked in butter, 2 tsp English mustard and 1 eggs.
For the coating: 2 eggs, beaten , 50ml milk , 50g plain flour, 100g breadcrumbs, 1 tsp paprika, Vegetable oil, for frying and Salt and pepper.
For the chilli jam: 1kg ripe tomatoes, roughly chopped, 8 long red chillies, 8 garlic cloves, 80g ginger, peeled and roughly chopped, 60ml soy sauce, 600g white sugar and 200ml red wine vinegar.
