Mary Berry makes blue cheese and fig tartlets and tomato and goats’ cheese doughballs fit to impress at any dinner party on this week’s Mary Berry Cooks.
Mary says about her tartlets: “These are simple to make, yet look so sophisticated, and most of the preparation can be done in advance.”
For the tarts her ingredients are: 2 sheets filo pastry, melted butter, 3 ripe figs, 100g creamy blue cheese, 1 tsp lemon juice, 3 sage leaves and sprinkling of ground paprika.
About her canapés, Mary said: “ These delicious little meat-free canapés can be prepared to the end of step four and baked at the last minute. If liked, omit the tomatoes and use 100g of sliced roasted red peppers from a jar instead.”
