Alison O’Neill (The Shepherdess) served up a delicious blackberry and apple cobbler with blackberry compote on This Morning.
The ingredients for the filling are: 4 cooking apples, 500g blackberries, 125g golden caster sugar, 2 tbsp of plain flour and 20g unsalted butter, melted.
For the topping: 165g plain flour, sifted, 3 tsp baking powder, 50g golden caster sugar, 90g unsalted butter, 150ml whipping cream, 1 tbsp double cream, for brushing and 1 tbsp demerara sugar, for sprinkling.
