Nadia Sawalha served up a dleicious chicken gyros with Greek bread on Nadia’s Family Feasts.
The ingredients for the marinade are: 1kg chicken thigh fillets, 250g Greek Yoghurt, 2 Tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil, 3 large cloves garlic, finely grated, Juice of 1 lemon, 1 Tablespoon dried oregano, 1 teaspoon sweet paprika, ½ teaspoon ground cumin and 2 teaspoons olive oil for cooking.
For the filling: 600g frozen chips, 2 Tablespoons garlic infused oil, ½ teaspoon oregano, 30g feta, crumbled, 1 red onion, finely sliced, 2 tomatoes, halved and finely sliced.
For the flatbread: 250g Self raising flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 200g natural yoghurt, 1 teaspoon salt, 40g sesame seeds and 2 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil.
