Gino D’Acampo served up a delicious chocolate panforte with orange liqueur, almonds and hazelnuts on Gino’s Italian Express.
The ingredients are: Oil for greasing, 310g dark chocolate (40% cocoa solids), 4 large egg whites, 4tbsp maple syrup, 225g ground almonds, 75g raw blanched hazelnuts, 70g walnut halves, 70g whole blanched almonds, 75g candied peel, roughly chopped, 4tbsp orange liqueur (eg Cointreau), ½tsp ground cinnamon, ¼tsp ground cloves, ¼tsp ground nutmeg, ½tsp ground black pepper and Icing sugar, sifted, for dusting.
