Lisa Faulkner and John Torode served up delicious cherry and almond tartlets using tin cherries and arrowroot on John and Lisa’s weekend Kitchen.
The ingredients are: 50g unsalted butter, 50g caster sugar and 50g ground almonds.
For the fruit: Tinned or jarred pitted cherries in syrup, 50g caster sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract and 1-2 tsp arrowroot.
To serve: 100ml double cream, whipped to soft peaks.
