Phil Vickery serves up a sausage and mash dish in the This Morning kitchen, but before the chef got down to making his supper, he got Philip and Holly making the sausages using his sausage maker and it left Holly screaming like a little girl. It looks as though Holly and sausages are not a good mix. I wonder what she was thinking of at the time?
Phil Vickery says: “The art of making a good bankers and mash is not to rush boil the potatoes, and only add a little bit of milk and butter.”
To make the gravy used: 3 large onions, finely sliced, 2 tbsp olive oil, 2 glasses red wine, 1 tbsp flour, 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped, 2 pints good, strong beef stock, Salt and Freshly milled pepper.
